Message Dry sump is the perfect solution. The goal of the baffles is to keep the oil pickup submerged so that it doesn't suck air under cornering. The diamond shape baffle where the pickup is located is baffled on all sides including the top. The fact that it takes longer for oil to drain away from the diamond chamber means it is doing its job it is intended to do, keep the oil level above the pick up .
